This dream has now come true, with Digital Fine Art Print"

ERIK in his workshop

In 1986 and -87 Erik visited America to study printmaking techniques. equipment and materials.

He visited the premier printmaking workshops;

Gemini G.E.L. , Tamarind Institute and Universal Limited Art Edition, Garner Tullis Workshop,

and met some of the best printers like James Reed, Ken Tyler, Garner Tullis and Bill Goldstone.

They worked in close collaboration with the artist in so-called Colaborative Printmaking.

Sam Francis, Per Kirkegaard and Ken Kiff did monotypes in Garner Tullis Workshop.

At Gemini GEL he saw an hydraulic lithography press, able to print large prints. ,

All this inspired Erik to do similar things in his own workshop.

An hydraulic lithography press began to be built,

with Ken Tyler as an adviser.

Now Erik wanted to make monotypes in collaboration with a painter.

It must be an artist who could unite painting and printmaking, and whose art he thought was really good.
Thus began the collaboration with Åsa Elisa Dahlbeck who is a painter.draftsman and printmaker, educated at Valand Academy,University of Gothenburgh 1979-84.

He installed a three-roll mill to manufacture inks with pigments of the highest quality 1996.

Erik has been interested in paint manufacturing for a long time. In 1974, he lobbied for lightfast colors.1995 began development of lithographic ink for handprinting, with the support of " Bildkonstnärsfonden " and in collaboration with Lithographic workshop in Tidaholm. ,

It's an ongoing process to explore different materials, paper and colors.

Erik has printed lithographs for Ken Kiff belonging to Marlborourgh Fine Art in London.

Today we are working with all Fine Art printmaking techniques, including Digital Fine Art Prints.
